Drake 2T vs. Heathkit DX-??

I have two Drake 2NT's
I have to say it is a 'smarter' rig than the Heathkit novice rigs.
It is also solid as a rock. Never has any of the usual Heathkit Hickups.
It has a built in side tone that plays through the receiver, pretuned
grid, well dampened meter, and front panel adjustable break in drop out
delay.
With a 2C or 2B it made a second to none novice setup. No VFO, but I
use a little Hallicrafters VFO with one, and a Lafayette VFO with the other.
The owners manual has an insert which mentions using the Heath or Johnson
VFO.
Regards....Dave
