Drake 2T vs. Heathkit DX-??

The Drake 2-NT was, in its day, the ultimate Novice rig.  Is the mate to
the 2-C receiver, but works great with any of the Drake receivers. The
2-B requires a simple mod for sidetone. It shows up fairly often around
hamfests where it is still reasonably priced around $75-$100, depending
on condition. I use a Hallicraftes HA-5 VFO with mine, a great setup as
the 'NT provides for VFO keying; some folks use the HG-10 with good
results. Have never seen any info on connecting up a modulator to the
2-NT.
A real fun transmitter.
