A fix worse than the problem?

My S meter would drift up to S-3 after about 20 minutes.
I found a mod from the K4JPN list.

"Replace R106 with a 33K 2 watt resistor"

The standard R106 was 22K.

The S meter has stopped drifting, but the signal levels are so low.
This puts  pin 6 of V 3 down to 130 VDC.

Is this mod a typo?
