Kit progress notes...

Hello all,

Not exactly Heath, but kit building none-the-less... got started on my
Elenco AM/FM radio project with the kids - they love it!  They really
are getting a kick out of putting the parts in the board, and checking
off the steps in the manual.   This little radio reminds me a lot of
building my HW-7 back in 1975.  My only complaint is that the circuit
board is slightly different in places than the book.  I had to 're-engineer'
the speaker / earphone wiring and assembly because they changed
the board since the book was printed.  Don't recall Heath ever
having that trouble!  But it's a good kit to build with kids despite that.

Anyway, just an update.  I put photos of the ongoing construction project
with the kids on my page at http://www.boatanchors.com.  There is a

Depending on how this goes, we will likely tackle the
soon-to-be-disassembled
GR-91 later on down the road and rebuild it as a 'new' kit.
