ID-1290 Weather Station

Hello,

I just found a complete ID-1290 weather station in great shape. After
hooking everything up it all seems to work except for one problem. On the
wind direction indicator it sometimes lights 3 or 4 bulbs at once instead
of 1 or 2. Two of the bulbs in the direction indicator are burned out. I
wouldn't think this would cause it to light 3 or 4 bulbs at once. I think
it would work normally except when the wind blows from the direction that
one of the bulbs is burned out and it simply wouldn't light. I replaced the
cable just because I had a brand new one sitting here and it still does it.
The lamps say GE 47 on them. I looked at the reed switches in the sensor
and they physically look okay but that may not mean anything. It seems to
work okay on certain directions as only 1 or 2 bulbs light. Then on some of
the other directions it lights 3 or 4 bulbs. Any idea where I might find
replacement bulbs and what do you think is causing all these bulbs to light
at the same time? Guess maybe I should take a few electronics courses while
I'm still in college if I'm going to collect Heathkits.

Thanks for your help,
Jim
