Fw: scanning schematics

If only test, alignment, calibration, usage, and similar text only type
pages are needed, OCR is a possibility. I have had good luck using the OCR
program which came with my $70 scanner. I OCR the document, then use the MS
Word spell check feature to catch many of the OCR errors. Word can correct
on its own many of the OCR "typos", and a quick read-through usually catches
the rest. A text translation is much, much smaller than a scanned page.
