heathkit dummy load

One of the things you have to worry about when considering transformer
oil for the Cantenna and that's PCBs. Not sure what it means but it's
suppositively nasty stuff that was in all transformer oils about the time
Heath first came out with the HN-31. I got a gallon of it gratis from the
LA power co. and it is still in my Cantenna. I'm afraid to open it up to
replace the power resistor with the new one I got from Ed Mosher.

I wonder if the numbers quoted by W2CNB were with "old" or "new"
transformer oil?? The "new" stuff is less efficient. I would play it
safe and use mineral oil.
