ID-4001-No Wind Speed/Direction Indication

Hello and Good Afternoon,

I have a Heath ID-4001 Weather Station which recently stopped indicating wind
speed and direction. Speed shows "0" and direction is stuck at SSE. The roof
unit appears to be working (at least from the ground) and all connections at
the station itself seem OK. I am unable at present to actually check the
wiring on the roof until I borrow a 40' ladder!  I replaced the CPU with a
known good spare which made no difference. All other functions are operating
OK. I would appreciate any suggestions/tips for troubleshooting/repairing
this problem.
