I spoke to someone at Jackson Bros. last year. They stated at that time
that variable capacitor manufacturing - their main business, also dials and
scales was a dieing business. There being no volume buyers any more,
just replacement part work and low volume specials.
A company called Mainline Electronics of Leicester, England bought up a lot
of the Jackson plant and is apparently continuing the Jackson Bros. name
and
producing a range of variable capacitors, dials and scales. I haven't seen
any of the new Jackson Bros. products in the flesh so to speak but I
have seen their catalogue.
Mainline Electronics email address is sales at mainlinegroup.co.uk
