Help alignment BFO in HW-5400

Keepers of the Green & solderers of the Brown:
I am constructing my hoarded HW-5400 and am stuck in aligning BFO.  Am unable to get 8.8307 MHz with R837 and Mode switch at CW-W.  I can only get down to 8.8309 MHz.  Replaced Q811 & Q812 without chnage.  DC is variable at the R837 pot.  The other 3 BFO alignments are fine.  Any help would be most appreciated via E-mail.  What do I do now coach?  Punt?
