Aluminum Soldering

I have hesitated jumping in here but here goes.  I am into old cars too (in
fact anything old) and while attending the big meet of the year at Hershey,
PA I watched as a "pitch man" weld a bunch of aluminum cans together.  He
did it hour after hour and made it look very easy.  He even got a girl from
the audience to do it.  He filled in the hole where the pop top was.  OK so
I am a sucker and bought the package (I don't think it was much money) of
rods and brush and instructions.  You only needed a small torch.  He called
it aluminum welding.  If you are interested in trying that approach, I will
dig for the kit.  I took it home and filed it away.  Its probably somewhere
under an old ham sandwich in my shop.
