Before another thread on UPS starts, I'm curious how well the unit was
packed ? Was the front panel (meters, glass, etc) protected with extra
(bubble wrap) packing ? Was there at least 2-3"of good crushable material
around the unit ? Was the unit packed so that it couldn't move and
develop it's own "impact shock" ?.......especially heavy units.
Just curious......I don't work for any shipping company but have shipped
a reasonable amount of stuff.

Sadly a very nice DX-60A has been damaged by UPS while enroute to me. I
may be able to straighten out the cabinet and chassis and the curled corner
of the front panel but the meter case was destroyed except oddly the
movement itself and the front face are OK. Must have popped off before the
major blow was delivered. Anybody out there have a DX-60A for parts. I
need the meter case for sure but if you have a straight cabinet and nice
front panel. perhaps between us we could make one good DX-60A again. I
could surrender this unit to UPS and collect the meager insurance but they
would take it and I would rather part it out and help someone else if I
cannot find the parts to fix it. Sad.
