Rocket Radio - first impression

I purchase one today from Restoration and had the same
experience as Terry.  The only thing I can hear on it
is hash from a light dimmer.  Even with the light off
and the Rocket hooked to my 100 foot long wire, I get
nothing.  Next time I am at the mall, back it goes.  I
just hope some kid doesn't think he is getting
something that works and gets turned off on radio.
They do have a $30 crystal radio kit, but it is hardly
worth the money (though it might actually work).

Back to listening to the 35 year old Mohican - just
had to change the alkalines in it - my note on the
battery box showed an install date of June, 1986.  Not
bad for 8 C cells.
