My SA-5010 manual has the following information:
1.  External power supply: 11 to 16 VDC, 200 mA
2.  The power jack doesn't care about polarity.  It uses a
bridge diode arrangement inside
3.  No note made of battery type other than 1.5 VDC
minature.  If needed I could yank the cover off and check.
I probably should anyways - its been a long while and I'm
sure they are dead.

By the way, this is one of Terry Perdue's designs.  Nice
job, Terry.
