Unassembled SB-220

All,
Please forgive me for replying since I don't normally get involved in these
price discussions. I'll keep it short......
$1,500 for a SB-220 kit? Why not? I sold one about 8 years ago for $900
plus shipping to Japan. Inflation may have kicked the price up to $1.5K.
Whether a person would or should pay that much is moot since someone was
willing to pay the price to get a rare kit. Remember, there are folks with
$$ who collect kits just like most of us collect the pre-owned (cheaper)
units. Would I pay that much? Probably not. I just bought a nice SX-88
and it wasn't cheap either.
Bottom line......law of supply and demand. Capitalism. America. That's
what it's all about. Finally, he is probably not really an idiot since he
will soon have a treasure.
off soap box......
Best 73 all,
gary
