I've got an ID-1490. Yes, it is indeed a clock/indoor-outdoor thermometer.
Mine is dead and I'm looking for a replacement clock chip  --a Mostek
MK50254N-1.

Latest datecodes found on the components place the unit from mid-to late
1976 --if that will help you with your catalog research.
