ham scam IF?

Hello all,

I have come across a ho-13 hamscan for sale. The owner
is not sure of the IF frequency it is set for, but
says it came out of an apache/warrior shack...

Does this tell us anything? I'm looking for 455khz.
Is there a simple thing I can ask the seller to check
to confirm this?
