ID-1390 Temp Sens Are 1N4148 Diodes

My Heath Manual for the ID-1390 (early version) does indeed state
1N4148 diodes for the temp sens. The catch is they are a matched set. I
have rebuilt a bad sensor with a pair of hand selected 4148 diodes.
Results were quite good with an observed non-linearity  of +/- 0.5
degree F from 32 to 130 degrees.The reference thermometer was a Kodak
with a +/- 0.25 degree F guaranteed accuracy.
