If anyone has a working Heath Capacitive Discharge Ignition system
(working) lying around I'd be interested in talking. I've got a
'66 Jeep CJ5 which until last summer had a 3rd party CDI in it
and it worked fine until it finally got zapped (it lasted 33 years -
guess it's now out of warranty :-)

It turns out that as best as I can tell, no one makes these sorts of
units anymore, although it's possible to find multiple hundred dollar
electronic ignition modules. I just need something to reduce the
points current (needless to say, this is a Kettering ignition).

THANKS!
