sb 104a display chip

Well, well. I have a bad chip in the display of a sb104a I am working on.
It's a heathkit number 443-602. No cross that I can find. It seems to me
that someone posted on the reflector a common cross to this driver chip.

it is also known as a DD700 or DM8880


In the past, the only thing that I knew that would fix bad chips was a good
bean dip!

didn't work this time.

anyone help me out??
