Wobbly LMO problem in SB-640

Hi,

The subject says it all. I'll bet that the wiper on the LMO's air
variable cap needs cleaning BADLY. My SB-104A suffered a similar
fate and De-Oxit cured that right scratchy, but How the dickens do
you get into this LMO? I can get the top cover off all right, but
can't get access to the air variable.

Has anyone had success with a similar fate in an SB-101? Same LMO as
the SB-640...

Appreciate any recommendations. It'd work perfectly, but for that
nasty wobble.
