HF tuneing

I have noticed on my home made AMP using 4 6MJ6
tubes,when tunning with a dip in plate current.
which some one told here ,
I got a little more grid current.
but not to much.
when tunning for a peek in output,it works
fine.AM using peek for mod.
very close to that tunning is a dip in grid current.
so I tuned for a dip in grid current and AM was even better
and had plenty of foward swing.

Did any one here use PRO_TEK 811A tubes in
heath kit?
I found them for $15 each from D&C electronics in FL.

I did try to get SVETLANA 811A but no longer made.
There 572B tubes are $235 matched quad.
OUCH!

Working on heath kit Warrior now.just rebult power supply.
I only have china 811A tubes left.
work great for testing but not very good tubes.
