Greetings Ray, Tom and All:

Yes Tom, that's true. I spent most of the '60's and '70's on 6 meters,
first with 10 watts of AM (Knight-Kit T-60), then 90 watts of AM (Knight-Kit
T-150), and finally 100 watts of SSB (Swan 250).  If the band is open, power
doesn't matter; if it's not open, a kilowatt won't make it open. The only
thing more power will do is extend your groundwave range, but then only to a
point.

Ray, from what I've heard:  At this stage of the sunspot cycle, if 6 is
open, 10 watts is as good as 100.  If it isn't, 100 watts is as useless as
10.  Anybody else out there hear this?
