HX 30 queries

Ah, yes, that oddball microphone connector! They're still available from
Allied and Newark. However, I replaced all of mine with a 4 pin connector
commonly available at Radio Shack. Why? Because they're available just about
anywhere. Also, those old 2 pin connectors were NOT made for today's skinny
microphone cords. They have little or no stress relief other than the cable
shield soldered to the spring. They eventually give out. I've got a D-104
microphone with the preamp disabled, going directly to the rig. The 4 pin
connector it's attached to clamps tightly around the jacket. Should last a
long time. I've got the 2 pin connectors in a safe place, waiting to be put
back in if/when I (or my "heirs") decide it's time to sell.

Hey fellers -
I may see you guys on 6m soon. I have acquired a really nice SB-110 which
has a pair of 6146es in the final amplifier, and looks great!
Still looking for that oddball 2-pin mic connector here!
