sb-102

Just like a Ford was lifted directly from the Rolls Royce plans.

No disrespect intended - like all transceivers of that era, there was
certain similarities of overall design and architecture. For the money,
the SB-102 was and is a remarkable piece of gear - but it just isn't in
the same league as the KWM-2.

Back in the early 70's I built up the *complete* Heathkit HF station with
all the goodies. Had the SB-102 and the HW-101 in addition to the SB-303
and SB-401 combination. But, as an engineer, I was never confused over
the relative design and implementation aspects of Heath vs. Collins. I
could afford Heathkits . . . end of story.
