Meter Panel Static

Hi gang. Just pulled out the oldIM-11 VTVM and checking it out before selling
it.
I noticed that whatever Heath used to prevent static charges from effecting
the meter movement is long gone.  The stuff the manual said to use is also
long gone.  Does anyone know for an effective way to eliminate static from
the meter faceplate?
