GR78 parts

Vern,
My GR-78 had a dead battery also... I chose a Radio Shack 8AA battery
holder (RS# 270-407) and a 9 volt snap. I used eight Radio Shack AA NiCads
in there with a wire soldered to the other end of the holder to get the 4.5V
tap. It's a hair longer than it should be, but with a little sanding on the
ends it'll fit right where the old one was. It works great with the
built-in charger!!
I think it cost me around $15 for everything...

Hope this helps,
- Greg

Hi fellow Heathniks,

I'm looking for the following for my GR78.
Lever Knob 462-240
Speaker 401-135
Speaker Grille 209-55
Battery 418-23 (GE 42B905JD14-2)
I'm working with a battery supplier to make a replacement but if someone has
already invented that wheel, I'm interested.

Thanks,
Vern
