Help - DX100B

I'm trying to get a DX100B into operation.  At this point I'm not sure if
it's "back" into operation or into operation for the first time. (Many
wiring errors or perhaps modifications.)  The connections to pin 8 of the
12BY7 buffer appear wrong in the Tx but the schematic (page 2) and Pictorial
10 (page 49) appear different around the 4.7K resistor. I think the
schematic may be correct. (I'm getting a resistance reading of 34K at pin 8
instead of the manual figure of 60K as shown in the trouble shooting section
on page 54). Can anyone shed any light on this?  (The 4.7K resistor
corresponds to a 27K one in the DX100 schematic - quite a change.)
