The smell or solder

You haven't really smelled the "fumes" of solder until you try to solder a carbon mike
(borrowed from the old Tel Co. phone booth) in series with the antenna on a regen receiver in order to make a "Trans-Ceiver".
 It worked too...and that was in the broadcast band....Hi  Hi..
