Hello Reggie K6XR;
I would guess it's the High input SWR with the TS570. I don't know
anything about the TS570, but going to guess that it's a no tune rig.
If that's true, then it is most likly to be shutting down on the high
SWR. I would suggest putting a Antenna tuner between the TS570 and
the SB-201 (200).
The SB-200/201 were designed to be used with the transmitters of the
day. Meaning, most of them had a PI net output and could match
almost anything. My SB-200 input is 2 to 1 or higher on all bands.
There has been some information on the list about this problem.
I hope this helps,
Gene

My sb201 with the following conditions:
1. Input swr is high 1.5 or more on all bands.
2. the amp tunes up on 80 meters 2150 volts at 280ma with 100 watts
drive from a ts570dg.
3. the amp tunes up on 40 meters to 1/2 the above values.
4. the amp does not tune up well on any other band. output power
read on a peak meter indicates only 150 watts output on bands 20
and 15 meters.
Can someone interpret these symptoms for me and advise? Maybe soft
tubes?
thanks in advance,
Reggie K6XR in Southwest Bakersfield CA.
