Appears to be the mating transmitter for
the Heath HBR-5
Aircraft Receiver ("Battery operated
aircraft beacon superheterodyne
receiver"). Receiver covered 190Kc to
420Kc, used tubes: 1T4 rf amp,
1R5 converter, 1T4 if amp, 1S5 det-af,
3Q4 pwr out.
Apparently from mid/late 1940s.
