It's an analog world out there.  How about a nice ananlog
measuring setup:

a Simpson 260 meter with 10 KV AC and 10 KV DC probes- all
for $50 plus s/h

I put new batteries in it and it works ok on AC, DC and
Ohms.  It was my Dad's.
He was a Sears tech.  When he retired, they gave him his
tools and test equipment.
