Gentlefolk:
I received this enquiry, and have posted it and my response for
general edification. While I'm not the list manager, moderator, nor
have I any sort of official status other than list member, I will be
happy to provide assistance to anyone that I can.

When you hit reply, your message goes only to the originator (the
person who's address appears in the 'To:' field. That way, you can
respond 'off line' directly to the person who sent the message (for
things like for sale postings).
To post your reply to the reflector, you need to put the
heath at listserver.tempe.gov address in either the 'To:' or the 'CC:'
field. That is the only way that everyone on the list will see your
response.
List etiquette (which is a nebulous term) says that responses to
'for sale' and such should be sent directly to the poster. (You
really don't want the whole list to follow your financial
transactions, do you ??)
Technical responses, questions, discussions, or whatever (no flames,
though) are welcome and appreciated by list members. Your answer
to someone's question may help several other people - either
immediately or somewhere down the road through the archives.
I hope this answers your questions. If I can be any more help, or if
I haven't explained something clearly, please let me know.
