Just use the coax connector and feed a short piece of coax out to the
random wire antenna....to tune, you DIP the plate for minimum and tune
the LOAD for MAX out on the REL POWER meter reading on the T150...OR use
the FORWARD reading of the SWR meter as your output meter reading..BUT
using SWR is NOT a good indication of best match OR max radiation...
think of a dummy load...it has a great SWR but does it work good as an
antenna? Nope......I own a T150 myself....its been in storage for a
while but I used it and its smaller brother the T60 with NO antenna
tuner during my Novice days....best antenna I put up was a 50ft end fire
wire...with a good ground system, the antenna was fed with a short run
(about 25 ft or so) of RG58 coax....I tuned for max out using the meter
on the xmitter...and worked ALL over the place...I later put a SWR meter
inline....it showed 8:1 SWR on 80mtrs! I later put an inductor in series
with it (4 turns/inch, 4 inches long, 1.5in diameter) and the SWR went
to 1:1 on 80.....but my signal reports didnt improve any! :)

Enjoy the classic rig....btw you can put it on 6AM on 50.4 or 10AM on
29.1-29.3 and enjoy the AM operation! That T150 is a workhorse..
