Unbuilt Heathkit SW-717

Hi Everyone.

Speculation continues on unbuilt Heathkits - now it is REALLY getting
crazy. How about an unbuilt Heathkit SW-717 general coverage AM/SW
receiver which is currently going for $510.00 at you know where.

I built this unit in 1975. It's cost then was only $75.00. And this unit
is not even a very good receiver!! I wonder why in heaven anyone would
want to pay over 500.00 for a unit that is poor at best in its ability
to pick up stations. Maybe because it is UNBUILT - big deal! I believe
that the speculators don't have a clue at what they are doing or what
they are bidding on. If they are looking for an investment, then the
stock market is a MUCH better bet.
