Hi,
I am trying to calibrate my ID-5001's barometer and the manual calls for a
test setup that uses
a 'stick' with 2 clips at the top and a single clip at the bottom. One is
supposed to use a clear piece of
tubing filled with water and this 'stick' to do the final calibration of the
barometer. I do not have the
'stick' and cannot find, in any of the manuals that came with the ID-5001,
the measurement of the
distance between the top two clips and the bottom single clip - can anyone
supply this?
I also needed to repair the wind vane (direction) unit for it would not
display correctly as one of the
phototransistors was bad. Thanks to a past Email from Joel, W7PDX I was
able to replace it with a
Panasonic PN168 Phototransistor that I got from Digi-key and now it works
perfectly.
73's,
Peter
