Drilling Rubber Stoppers

You can make a tool for drilling holes through rubber stoppers from a short piece of brass tubing. Just bevel the circumference at one end and attach a T-handle at the other. Usinf soap or some other lubricant, twist the beveled end into the stopper until it emerges out the other side. It removes a core the size of the tubing I.D.

 Copper or steel tubing might work as well.
