I have about 35 or so unused 54-X-12 (dual primary 54-12) power transformers
as used in the above models, and others.

I DO NOT HAVE the voltage control (wiper).

It's an interesting looking (Frankenstein) transformer in that the low
voltage secondary is exposed.

I have two ideas for using them.

1) soldering a jumper across the exposed winding underneath, as the wiper
would do,
or
2) filing off the varnish from the crimped ends of the windings on top and
soldering a jumper.

If anyone ever needs one; let me know.
