Hello Fellow Heath Owners:
My brain is shot for the evening! I want to add a High Voltage probe to
my IM-5218 vtvm. I have a HV probe housing, that now needs a resistor. What I
need to know is the value of the resistor???
I would like to read 5,000 volts on the present 500 volt scale. I would also
like to do this on both AC and DC if possible?
(The stock probe for the vtvm has a setting for AC and DC. When in the DC
position a 1 Megohm resistor is in series with the probe. When in the AC
position the resistor is eliminated.)
I would like to use the HV probe directly pluged into the vtvm eliminating
the stock probe altogether.
Does this make any sense. Any help you guys can offer would really be
appreciated. Thanks in advance. Kurt A. Lacko...
