TOBACCO SMELL

Hi Ray,
I have use the dishwasher on a number of occasions but it depends on the
equipment. If there are RF and IF transformers that use paper products for
the coils you might want to reconsider. I will normally use 409 sprayed on
all metal surfaces and front panels and a soft cloth to clean off the smoke
residue.
In the case of a Kenwood R2000 I bought, I used the 409 method for the metal
surfaces and then for the printed circuit boards I used a fine mist of Lysol
spray. A couple of treatments with the Lysol got rid of the smell. With the
R2000 the dishwasher was not an option due to the way it is constructed.
