TVI problems.

Bob, try wrapping the AC line cord of the TV around one of those split
ferrite chokes that Radio Shack and other used to sell (they are two pieces
of ferrite that make a rectangle about 1.5 X 2 in and have a plastic
holder). I found that I was getting into a set (hitachi) when operating six
meters. The choke on the line cord practically eliminated it.

Good luck.

Thank you all for the info.
Yes Ant. no cable.
Yes Xtal hand held.
And it is the HT doing it.He went over there with the HT to make shure.
The reasion only 3 VHF channels is because thats all that can be gotton in.
It is a RCA 25in.I think color track of something like that.

Looking for a 2 meter trap for TV 75ohm coax.
Hi pass filter only stopped the 6 meter problem.

but the Hi pass did not stop my friends 6 meter tvi problem.
I spent some time talking about grounding to him.
we got 6 meter TVI to a minal but some is still there.
I think ICOM base rig with multiple bands he said.

Well we atleast stopped the nabors 6 meter TVI problem.
also no amp on 2 meter HT and MFJ wip antenna.
He has a 2 meter amp and discone antenna also.
radio shack 30 watt 2 meter.

Yes some nabors can be very nasty with TVI .
This has been a broblem from the birth of ham radio.
wich was radio at the time.

I wish MFG of TV's would buld there tunners better.
Over the years I found out that most of the problem is the
TV of stero and not the HAM.
