Hello to all of you fellow heathkitters,

First of all, I want to thank you all for the many responses, that I have
gotten, you guys are the best.
I will be digging in again and looking for the problem again with your many
helpful hints.

I want to tell you some of the things I have done and checked.

First of all this rig was in everyday use until it quit, so it's not an
ebay basket case. That' why I think it is going to be something simple and
obvious, it I could just get this thick Irish skull working.

I have checked all the tubes, both with a tube checker and by replacing any
that were marginal and swapping others out just to see what would happen.
It seemed a good idea while I had the top off. I haved resoldered all the
connections around the 0A2 regulator, and pulled the resistors around it
and measured with an ohm meter. I have been through the final stage ( at
least most of it, I dont think I have missed much, but probably did as it
still not working.) I did find one connection that had never been soldered
so there may be more even thought the rig did work. I have checked rl2 both
physicall and electrically as thought it might have a high resistance on
the conact or not making good contact.
I have tried to check the antenna loading cap, as I have had trouble with
it in the past, and am not really sure about the results. About the only
component is the final circuitry that I am not sure of is the rf choke, I
know it's not open, as I measure a resistance so I know it is not open.

I think that is about it, but I will continue to dig around and see what I
can find. Maybe I just aren't seeing it. It would help if I would get some
new glasses so I could see close up better, it's a real pain putting em on
and taking em off.

I will let everyone know who was curious, what I find and how I get it
fixed.

For those of you I am seeing if a freind can scan the schmetic sor me and
if he is able to I will forward it to you.

Again thanks for all the help, and will be digging in again.

                                                                 Ed
