I have had a number of questions asking "What is a HW-99" so I will respond
to the group.
The HW-99 was produced around 1985. It was called the "Novice CW transceiver"
and covers the CW portion of the 80, 40, 15, and 10 meter bands. It is
entirely solid state and will output 50 watts. It has full break in, built in
AC supply, continuously variable RF output, active audio filter with 450hz
bandwidth. I don't believe that there were a lot of these units produced.
