SB-303 Audio Amp board

Trying to get my old rigs up and running after several inactive years.

Have a SB-303 in which the audio amplifier transistor fried.  The manual
gives no real information on the diode except the Heathkit part number
which means nothing in any substitution books I have found. I need
suggestions on an easy to find transistor to replace it with.  Anything
from "Ripoff Shack"?  A diode and some resistors also fried, but they
will be easy enough to figure out.
