GFI problems

I have found that GFI breakers trip on old
radios all the time.
mostly TUBE type.
The reason is that they use WAX paded caps from ac line to ground.
very common on old tube stuff.

change caps.
best thing to do is remove cap to ground and use a good
disk cap from hot-nut.
connect metel chasses to ground on outlet or cold water pipe.

This should keep GFI from tripping with old tube radios..

A good surge protector will rute surge to groung and may trip GFI but if keeps tripping test or replace surge protectors.

There is lots of spikes that come in all the time.
The power company is very dirty.
they could do a better job but they only
do anouth to protect there stuff!!
