Low power output on 10 meters:
For starters, I'd check to make sure your RF connections thru to your
wattmeter and dummy load have a VSWR less than 2:1, or the ALC will cut back
and reduce the RF output, as it's supposed to (don't use SB-610 in series
with wattmeter & dummy load). Also, check the RF output in low power
mode....if the RF out is still appreciably lower on 10 meters than the other
bands in low power mode, double check the 10-meter alignment sequence on the
"C" board, the VFO level, or the 10 meter lowpass filter section on the
ALC/Filter board. If this is okay, then it may be your finals. Also, you
should be able to easily get 100 watts out on 80 & 40 (within a low VSWR
environment). If not, you may have to tweek R332, the base bias resistor on
Q303 which serves as a DC ALC amplifier. It could be that if the output is
brought up to at least 100 watts on the lower bands via R332 given a low
VSWR connection to your wattmeter, with proper alignment of L309, L310,
L319, L320, your 10 meter output may improve (assuming the finals aren't
shot). Be sure your wattmeter is reading correctly, however from 3 to 30MHz.
Hope this helps.

Subject: SB104a,low power out on 10 meters only.
Hi,
Thanks in advance for your superior help! My problem is pretty simple.
The rig works great.10 meters will only put out about 40 watts into a
dummy load. All the other bands are 80 watts or better. Both c/w and ssb
are low. Thanks again! Ken.. kb4bjm..
