HW-7 ?s...

Greetings,

The general synopsis from the email I received (thanks) was to verify that
other components (resisters, capacitors) were in spec, hook it up to the
best antenna you can, and then quit expecting it to perform like a superhet.
I'm going to follow those steps, as they seem logical.

One poster replied concerning the DeMaw upgrade: his evaluation was that
there was little to no user-detectable difference between a stock HW-7 and
one with the upgrade. For those of you with ?s about this upgrade, refer to
the Jan '94 QST article "HW-7 QRP Transceiver Modifications" available on
the members-only section of the ARRL website.
