Earlier the problem was that the transmitter would not oscillate on 28 MHz.
Numerous responses all agreed with me that I had a bad crystal.  I received
two but neither one works.  I can use the 28.5 crystal in the 28.0 socket
and the 28.0 adjustment works as expected.  Two more bad crystals?  That
makes 5.

Here's another problem.  Pin 2 of V8 goes to the het osc test point through
a 100K resistor.  The only way I can get a het osc reading is to read the
voltage on the tube side of the resistor.  Yes, I checked and replaced the
resistor.  I have also checked and replaced the tube.

Ideas??
