USS Ling special event

With Dave's kind permission, please note the following event, and get
those green boxes warmed up:

SPECIAL EVENT STATION, USS LING, NX2ND
PLANS NOVEMBER 11, 2000 EVENT

        Special Event Station, NX2ND, World War II Submarine USS Ling
(SS297), berthed at the New Jersey Naval Museum, in Hackensack, New
Jersey, will
be commemorating the resurrection of the boat’s original Navy callsign
NXND
into NX2ND, on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2000.  The hours of operation

will be 1400Z to 2130Z (9:00 AM until 4:30 PM).

        Operated by the 10-70 Repeater Association, of northern New
Jersey, there will be several stations on-the-air.  Frequencies will
include:  7039, 7260, 14039, 14260, 21039, 21360, 28039, 28360—CW or
SSB, +/- QRM (conditions

and operators permitting).  There will also be 6M SSB, and 2M FM simplex

(146.535 or 146.565).

        Please send a QSL and 9 x 12, SASE, for a colorful certificate,
