Ken,

I don't own an SB-650 but do have two SB-303's and like them a lot. My main use of them
is for cw and rtty.  The SB-303 is very stable and also very sensitive...so much so that
one needs to adjust the attenuation and rf gain controls very carefully to reduce noise
and front-end distortion. This is especially true on 40 meters at night. The extra gain
is appreciated on 10 and 15 meters though.

The SB-303 may be my favorite solid state reciever but if you are talking tubes...well,
there is this Drake R4B in my shack...  ;o)
